Let me say I RODE MY LEGS OFF this weekend! OIY. Hills or what?? My legs were like rubber when I got home after my long hilly ride on Saturday, and then I had to turn around and do a ride/run on Sunday as well. Today was legs off. NO workout for me. Ahhh. Simple outfit for Monday. I had several meetings out of office today which meant alot of walking. On days like that I plan my outfit around my shoes. Which shoes are most comfortable for walking in. Then I create the outfit to match. You are likely getting bored with my plain skirt and top combinations (I am!). I will try to spice it up abit more for the rest of this week, I promise!!
How do you plan your outfits??

Well shoes are a big factor, if I know I have to wear flats, I'll usually reach for something with a shorter hemline. If I'm going shopping, something that is easy to get in and out of, and no big jewelry.
ReplyDeletegood for you for getting on your bike so much, i should do the same. haha. ha.
Chic on the Cheap
Ugh, hills! I can relate. Not my fave. But remember that your hard work is what keeps your legs looking so good in that cute skirt!
ReplyDeleteI plan my outfit around functionality. I just joined the Y, so now I workout at lunch. On those days, I dress simply - usually just a dress. On the days I workout after work, I can dress up a bit more.
Jodi - I LOVE the red accessories from today and Friday. You look so beautiful and put together.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could agree with LyddieGal and say that shoes are a big factor but sadly I have the bunions and corns to prove that I wear heels even when I know I am walking long distances! Alas, I continue to suffer as I am so tied to heels!
I plan my outfits the night before and think about what I have on the agenda. Am I meeting with Executives that are conservative or will I be mostly working around the office which is a more casual atmosphere? Either way my shoes are high and my jewelry is big! Ha ha ha!

Woman, you are just my workout hero!!!! When I grow up I want to be like you. (Except that I'm probably much older.) Ok, when I get younger then.
ReplyDeleteI plan my outfits the night before, usually. Whether I have a presentation determines how short my dresses are, you know, I mean that I wear (slightly) longer dresses on days with VPs n' such.
You look adorable, as usual:)

I admire your athleticism. It will lengthen and improve the quality of your life.
ReplyDeleteNot every outfit has to be Big Blog Material. Many can be simple daily wear. You put together and wear casual looks well.
super cute skirt and hey your cat matches your outfit
ReplyDeletegreat accessory!

You say boring... I say basic... potato potahto.
ReplyDeleteIn the winter time I base my outfits on which pair of tights are clean. :-)
In the summer I am drawn to skirts, but have to add layers of tanks and cardigans since the weather in the northwest is so unpredictable.
that's such a lovely dress.
ReplyDeleteAnd that cat ^-^sooo cute :)

I really like the skirt. Maybe you need to try some new color combos. When I'm bored I pile on the accessories.
ReplyDeleteIt made me wheeze to simply read that workout blurb. I need to sit here and rest a bit. Seriously woman.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so pretty and I like how you and boo-boo kitty kinda match.
I too take shoes into account on days that my workday takes me from building to building. Your story about the rubber legs reminded me of a mountain I climbed once...was fine going up, but had lost total control of my muscles by the time we descended and was stumbling around like a drunk.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of your style. I've loved every single outfit - how well your accessories accentuate the look, the color palate, the fit of your clothes and everything! :) Thanks for blogging.
