Grey is the new Black

Yes, Grey is the new black in my world!! LOL. I got some new boots.. nice Italian leather.. and now, what to wear the suckers with? Apparently you can do GREY AND BROWN (whoops I had brown and black here by mistake)???? Has anyone tried it???

I have missed you all, seems like a while since I've been on here. My outfit photos from yesterday didn't turn out so I did not post them, but I promise you,  I was wearing color!!  Do you know how when you take on something new, like a resolution, or you are focusing on making a change, that what shows up is everything BUT that?? For example, I am focusing on wearing MORE COLOR, so what I am noticing is how much BLACK everyone around here wears!!  Its everywhere and it seems like business people wear it as a sign of IMPORTANCE.  Long black trench coats. Black suits. Black brief cases.  Black scarf with Black Jacket.  Black black black black.  Why does our culture dress so dark all the time???

Okay rant over. Just me going through withdrawal.  I will be okay. Remember Oath #11 from my Fashion Oath about Rule #6 .

Work is BUSY so not much time to visit on here lately. I am however, still getting in my regular workouts (swimming and running at 6am) and Thursdays teach spin class.  Speaking of which, time to get to bed!!

Love ya xoxo Jodi

  2. You're funny! You are the master of brown and black!

I think gray and blue works splendidly. I've been wanting gray boots forever! I'm drawn to gray this season. It is the new black! That blue is beautiful and the collar is awesome!

  3. Take it slow! I love that pretty blue top peeking out from under the cardi, and, gosh, those boots ARE lovely, for reals.

Black and brown can be amazingly chic! I think it looks best if your outfit is mostly black and then you add a few pops of warm brown, like cognac or caramel. The swanky ladies I work for are forever throwing camel coats over their little black suits, and it looks so polished!

  4. Wow, loving that top and all its ruffly goodness. And yes, the whole world wears black. Time for us girls to make a stand and bring in some brightness. And you have done brown and black before and owned the look so you don't need any advice from me. :-)

PS As a strange coincidence Pete did used to do karate. Me, I'm a capoeira girl.

Yes, I wear brown and black. All. The. Time. Basically if I like it, I wear it. Simple!

  16. great look. I notice that when I dress for work I tend to wear a lot of black too. I guess its just easier to throw on a pair of black pants and top and not have to think about it sometimes

  18. Yay for grey!! I think that black is so easy to wear, and that it's kinda fool proof that people forget to be adventurous in other neutrals. I love that you chose grey for your main neutral!

BTW I love how you're wearing boots with pencil skirts, it's a look I love but can't quite seem to pull off. :) How do you do it? Any tips.

Look forward to hearing from you
