Coral Blazer

Time to break out more color.  I can't believe I haven't posted for this long either. I've been taking photos, just haven't taken time to post them. Sorry about that- I have been checking in and lurking on all your blogs though :)
I actually don't mind the cut and fit of this blazer, the collar is better than they usually are and I think I'll keep this one since I have such a hard time finding blazers that fit me properly. Am going to try with a skirt next time though as I don't like how I look in these pants.

Was just down in the US for another awesome trail race. I had to climb 6,000 ft elevation gain. OUCHY that was a good workout for the legs thats for sure.  It was a great time, beautiful day and excellent people.  The next race is a 100km alpine race so gotta get more training in.  Yes I do.
Except my pant legs are getting tighter cuz my leg muscles are getting bigger :(

The Blazer

Last week I told you I found a blazer that I actually like. It's office-y, which is what I needed for the occasional meeting.

This outfit is pretty conservative but I did have to go to a fairly conservative meeting yesterday.  Next time I'll spice this up with abit more color- different blouse or something.  I like the fit and the neckline of this blazer though.  Not bad for $6!!

This was my friday casual outfit.

You've heard me rant about stripes before. I continue to battle with them. Meaning. I continue to try to wear them despite them not wanting to be worn by me.  Sometimes I just sacrifice style for comfort. Friday was a paperwork day and I didnt have any meetings so not many people saw me anyway!

Heck, who doesn't feel good with a pink scarf on?
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all wearing something that you feel awesome in today.

Jeans and Blazer

Hair dressers should not be allowed to go on vacation. Now I have to wait another 3 weeks before getting this mop cut. Am looking scraggly today.  Am still working on finding a good place close to home to take photos. Since we've moved our backyard is not as ideal for photos and the inside of the house is under construction/renovations, etc most of the time.  Anyway, at least I'm getting fashion conscious again and posting so thats a start :)

Happy Super Duper Weekend to all of you!! Hope its a great one.

QUESTION:  Any recommendations for good camera remote controls?  I keep breaking mine!! The one I have communicates with the camera but then is fiddly to actually tell it to take the photo! URGH why do I have such bad luck with these stupid remotes (roll eyes!!).

Black Leather Skirt

I got sassy and wore one of my leather skirts to work. AND with bare legs- I'm still squeezing out the days that I can wear bare legs.  I actually got quite a few compliments on this outfit so guess it worked out okay.  I felt official yet stylish, sassy yet smart.

I'm also trying to get more outdoor photos again.  It's hard to find discrete places and unless I have my car at work its a bit of a challenge these days.   Other musings.. well, time for a hair cut and I'm super excited because my awesome hair dresser is finally back from maternity leave.  She's so awesome and I can't wait to catch up with her soon and hear all about her new life as a mom.

How long have you been seeing your hairdresser? Do you have a great relationship with him/her?

Dream

Happy Thursday.  Well. I was wanting to show you the new pendant I got that I'm wearing and it says DREAM on it, with a little peacock. Hence the title of the blog post.
The photo didnt turn out so too bad. You have to use your imagination.  I am SOOO tired of living amongst boxes!! The big move is January 1 so I look forward to getting over to the new house and hope to have a better venue for indoor photos as well.  Now the new neighbours will see me lurking around looking for outdoor locations.  Nothing like starting off on a weird foot!!

Boring outfits have been a staple for the past months.  I just don't seem to have the same ooomph I had before.  I'd love a style overhaul in the new year.  For example I was wondering what I  would look like as a HIPSTER.  Would lumberjack and skinny jeans with heavy rimmed glasses suit me?  Maybe I will try it.. LOL  I just might!

Any styles that you would like to try that you haven't ????

Classic Blazer

Pouring rain Friday and I dressed so I could still commute by bike to my meetings downtown.  As I see this photo I have the thought that perhaps this blazer isn't the greatest on me. If it were a few inches longer it would better- however, thats just an inside thought now admitted to the whole world of the internet as my mom would say.

I don't think I introduced you to our new kitty(s) either. Well. After poor Deze left us I thought life would never be the same. And it isn't. Its now just different.  We adopted 2 Devon Rex cats. They are hypoallergenic so my man isn't allergic and all scratchy and itchy with these 2.  Of course, I will share more photos as time goes on (see one below). They came with strange names but we didn't have the heart to change them:).

Its that time of year where I feel FAT. Its a tough transition from training so intensely for so many months for races and then going to working out just for leisure (ie. TRX, bootcamps, etc).  It is partly mental but also physical.  Take away the training volume and intensity but the love of eating is still there!! Oh well. That too will soon change.  Training season has started and we have a long ride in the (RAIN) tomorrow!!

80's Flashback

New Blazer. I had this on my list last year and could not find the right boyfriend blazer to fit me. Low and behold I recently found this one on a sales rack. I love it however the minute I put it on I feel like breaking out singing Karma Chameleon.

Race season will be done after this weekend and I get to chill for about a month then get back into it. I'm going to be teaching TRX this year.  Have you heard of it? It originated with some knarly military guys getting stuck in the middle of nowhere for a long time with nothing to do so they put together a bunch of ropes and straps and made up some workouts to keep them fit while they were waiting for help to come.  Great story and if you do the exercises you get a killer bod too!!

Not much else to report today. Over n out. Hope you had a great day yourselves. J
