And this sneaky little gnome. Remember early in January when I posted one of my black and brown outfits (Blackaholic) and I photographed the gnome wearing my leopard scarf? Well, this morning when I went out to take my photos, alas, there was the sneaky little bugger STILL wearing my scarf all frozen up he was and so was the scarf!! I had a good laugh about that.. so its been out there on him for 17 days to be exact!! Fashionable little bugger!!!
Now. I will stop complaining about the weather since I do realize that I cant do anything about it.
Do you know it is all because of (I will sound serious for a minute): El Nino and La Nina? Yes, El Nino is the warmer-than-normal ocean surface temperatures in the eastern Pacific, while La Nina occurs when the ocean is cooler than normal-- causing rather annoying conditions for fashion bloggers around the world. Local Ladies: I am now officially in the market for at least 2-5 indoor photoshoot locations!!
Read more about the wonders of why its hard to get good outdoor photos right now: El Nino, La Nina and other weather woes. In the meantime, someone, anyone, please post something on 'Ideas for Photoshoots when the Weather takes a Big Crap!!
Thats all I have for ya today. Over n out. xoox J
I think that top looks great on you. I understand what you're saying about liking clothes until you see the photos of you wearing it, but I don't let photos have too much impact on me. If I love the way an outfit makes me feel than I'll wear it. If I love the way it looks in the mirror, even better. But if that doesn't translate perfectly to film I don't let it bug me too much.
ReplyDeleteAlso, before you banish that top to the "cleaning the house" pile I'd suggest trying it with different pieces. It might just seem more "loungy" because you're wearing it with leggings and flat boots.
The gnome looks happy!! I love your boots...they are great!
ReplyDeleteThanks BEE.. yeah I think a belt would be better with the top actually... will play around!!
ReplyDeleteYEs, mr gnome... he is mischievious alright!! LOL
sometimes thinks just dont photograph well but look good in real life? a belt would add something to the top, or maybe tucked in?? love that gnome so cute
ReplyDeleteScrapbook de la Emma
those earrings caught my sight...PRETTY !

thankyou for visiting my blog jodi :)) i know what you mean about the photographing! sometimes its just the angle the photo is taken that makes it look different!
ReplyDeleteI don't know - I'm liking the shirt. But that might be because I was tearing up my closet for a very similar one last week...and never found one (my gnome outside doesn't wear clothes that I can steal from. Then again, I don't actually have a gnome outside, so that could be the problem...)
ReplyDeleteHa ha, that is funny about the gnome and your scarf!
ReplyDeletei wish I had some good ideas for indoor photo-shoots, but alas I am also at a loss. I am personally going to try a few more locations around my house, but it all depends on lighting and how clean it is!
that scarf looks fantastic with your earrings. and that's funny about the gnome!

ReplyDeleteI am liking the blue top but I love what the gnome is wearing lol.
ReplyDeleteDo I not like something after I see it photographed? Um it happens to me all the time. I like your shirt, and photos don't always tell the whole truth.

the little guy is cuteness and you look lovely one again :) i wish i had advice for indoor shots but I cant seem to figure them out either
ReplyDeleteGlad your gnome had your scarf - the weather might have finished him off without it.
ReplyDeleteIndoor shoots - lady, get yourself into some shops. You know it's the way forward. Or museums. Or libraries. Or anywhere with OK lighting and corners to hide in. Get out there and be proud.
Liking what I'm wearing until I see it photographed has been happening to me a lot since I started my blog. It's weird - I'm starting to question whether or not I know what looks good on me. That being said, I like this blue shirt on you, so don't be too hard on yourself. And your gnome? Adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love gnomes and this one is so adorable
ReplyDeleteLove red scarf and the pop of green in the earrings.
You look divine! I decided to check your blog out (after seeing it on Shybikers's blog) and I think this was the best decision of the day.
ReplyDeleteI love your outfits and your pictures! Fantastic.
