This outfit reminded me of Ralph Lauren country style fashion. Tweeds, wools, leather. NOT like I look like one of their models or anything.. hah hah but I somehow felt 'country' today. That said, its so valuable seeing photos after the fact and objectively assessing the 'what works/what doesn't work so well' about the outfit. I won't pair this shorter lengthen turtle neck with these capri's again. I don't like what it does to my mid section. You know me. Curvy. I need waist defining and belts. Try try again.
Here's some examples of the kind of Ralph Lauren-ish stuff I like. Maybe I should try to recreate a few more of these looks:
I don't think I'd hang around with my friends like this but I would weather that skirt and leather jacket :)
How bout you, any designers or style type that naturally attracts you (whether you wear it or not is another question?)
It's true that seeing pictures of our outfits help us understand what works and what doesn't. Then again, you'd look good in a burlap sack -- if it was belted. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love this look actually and do find it is very Ralph Lauren.
ReplyDeleteI truly love that last photo as well. So many good ideas.
I hope you do manage to come to the 40+ blogger meet-up! I'm not in Vancouver, I actually live in Toronto, but the other two gals that are helping me are in the Vancouver area.
Are you on the Island? Or one of the smaller ones? I lived on Vancouver Island for a couple of years and just loved it.
Thanks for popping by my blog!
bisous
