Simple Purple and Skinny Jeans
A simple day in the office. I started out dressed like this- was about the leave the house then it started raining so threw on a bright pink little cardi and a flowery wraparound scarf. So much for sleeveless. That's okay, sometimes I wonder how appropriate it is to wear sleeveless in the office anyway.
What do you think of sleeveless tops at the office? Yah or Nah?

Riding in the Rain
This is what I wear when doing a longish ride in the (spitting) rain. 150 km today. Now I shower, eat, nap then get up and make dinner. Sunday is a long run in the morning, and a short run in the later afternoon. In between we are going to a fundraiser a friend is organizing to raise money for music therapy.
What adventures are you getting up to this weekend?

Stripes
Me: "Honey can you take my outfit photo?"
Him: "Sure"
Me: "Let's see it. EWW I look huge in this top"
Him: "Everyone that wears a top like that looks huge"
Me: <no response>
While I think this top is cute (on the hanger) I do think its going in the bag to consignment. Photos ARE telling :)-- I've worn it a few times now and still keep meaning to get rid of it.
Do you have something you keep even though you know it isn't flattering on you?

Plain Jane working from Home
The days I work from home I'm highly productive. I'm up early anyway and if not training then I get to work right away (6am -ish). My best ideas come during these early hours. I'm definitely a TEAM MORNINGS kinda gal. It's also nice because there's no need for make up any fancy hair. It's just me and my two little fuzzy white helpers at home all day :)
What about you? Do you have a job that allows you to work from home occasionally? Are you more productive or more distracted when working from home?

Pink and Red
I've had this skirt forever. So long that I have taken it in 2 x and hemmed it to 2 different lengths over the years. Outdated? Maybe. Not sure. I must admit I love pink and red together. I will end up being a member of that group of old ladies that wear the red hats and purple. I think its the Red Hats Society or something like that :)
Here's a question to ponder:
Some people can buy inexpensive clothing and when they wear it they look like they are dressed in expensive clothes. Others can buy expensive things but it looks cheap.
What's the secret?

Training Attire
Okay, I am tired of those fashion blogs that end up posting the majority of their posts as household DIY's, baby pictures and recipes. While there is great information, I subscribed for the fashion, not the other stuff. So here I go and post training photos not fashion. The truth is, I haven't had much time to take fashion photos and my fashion is nothing inspiring these days. I have been training for a big long distance race (photos are from a 4 day training camp me and BFF created for ourselves) and basically my weeks look something like this:
Wake up 4:30 am. Bed 8:30 pm.
Monday- swim 8-10 km (yes, thats correct- swimming for approximately 3-3.5 hours)
Tuesday- bike 2 hours
Wednesday- swim 6- 8 km Wednesday night- run drill clinic
Thursday- run 2 hours
Friday - swim 6-9 km
Saturday- bike 7-9 hours
Sunday- run 3-3.5 hours and sometimes do a 2 hour run in the morning, then 2 hours in the afternoon.
Little time for much else. We finally caved in and hired a guy to mow our lawn for the next 2 months until our race is over.
Housecleaning happens in spurts in the evenings.
I'm getting lean though :)
How are you doing?? What's getting your time and attention these summer days?
