1. What's your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher-end product?
Drugstore: Lise Watier Lipstick Higher-end: I wouldn't exactly say its higher-end but is a bit pricey.. Aveda stuff always smells great and feels good.
2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can't live without?
Vitamin E skin cream. I need to take care of my skin since I am outside training alot and in the chlorinated pool alot... Vitamin E is so good for the skin, I don't go anywhere without it (do I sound like an infomercial??? :)
3. What's the best hair product you've ever used?
I really like a variety of LUSH shampoos.. because I swim 4 days per week I look for something natural that will feed my hair and not strip it anymore.. LUSH is all natural and smells pretty good too!! Yes, I am an Au Natural kinda girl!! Fav ones are REHAB and BIG.
4. Fess up, what's the worst beauty look you've tried to rock and look back at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that?
This is without a doubt when had 80's hair... that was baaaadd.. and BIG. I rocked it then but shudder when I think back. I would spend hours curling my long hair back in ringlets and then spray it til it was almost hard as rock and didn't move... oh man, what was I doing???? (no, this ISN"T ME!! )
5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality?
I am not a big makeup person. All I wear for eye makeup usually is neutral shadow and dark grey liner. I guess thats my signature look if you want to call it that.. That said.. someone help me... I need a makeup intervention!!! LOL I sure wish I could figure out how to do the Sophia Loren Look.... LOVE IT!!
Have a super weekend chickitas!!! Will be posting outfit photos on Saturday.. catch ya then!! xox Jodi
I am not a big make-up person either... I'm a bit useless in that department!
ReplyDeletep.s. There are others that want to meet you too! I hope that is alright babe!
p.p.s. I thought we could start at the historic Chateau Laurier?
muah!
Wow Sophia's makeup looks fabulous! I try to but natural hair products as well, might try out Lush! x
ReplyDeleteI carried the 80s hair into the 90s...and then finally decided it didn't work! This is a day of rememberances and cringing!!

ReplyDeleteI love the Lush bath bombs, but have never tried any shampoos, might have to give it a whirl
I too had the 80's thing going, but truthfully I think everyone looked bad with big hair!

Sophia's makeup is amazing! I don't think it would look good on my face though, but it's pretty inspirational!
ReplyDeleteMy mom still does the 80's hair thing >_< It works for her though!
Darlin', you have a face and bone structure that needs no intervention, point blank. I do love your 80's hair story... my confession also takes me back to the 80's: Tony Home Perms. Ya can only imagine! My bff was really tall, and actually kinda looked like you. Just imagine two 14 yr olds, walking down the street, one almost a foot shorter than the other, rockin' the Cherokee 4" wedges with tight perms. Niiiiice.
ReplyDeleteHow funny that you used to curl your hair and I used to spend hours straightening mine. Funny how we always try to get what we don't have :)

ohhh maybe we should have an 80's day!! I would organize it.. that would be fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see some 80's hair lol. You should do an 80's day. I think it's sounds like your signature style is natural, and there is nothing wrong with that. I like it to look like I'm not wearing tons of make-up.
