Remix 24: Plain Jane

Day 24.  Secret #9. My middle name is Jane. Just like my grammy's middle name. Today I feel plain. This shirt dress is plain.  Anyway, shirt dress worn as a long over shirt today.  Yesterday I did the deed and had the uncomfortable "I'm letting you go" conversation with my coworker.  Never fun but it was a relief once I did it. For me and her.  I could see her relief through her tears.  I still feel dull today and tired and luckily you can't see the big bags under my eyes from being awake since 3am tossing and turning!!

Remix Items: Black skinny pants, long sleeve black t, shirt dress, snakeskin shoes (first wearing of the challenge!!)

I have 1 item I have not yet worn.  A bright pink blouse. I promise to wear it. Maybe on the last day just to go out with a bang!!

I'm so busy cleaning up the mess at work from all the work that has not been done by my coworker I am working late alot and not getting time to visit everyone!! That sucks.  I miss you and hope you don't think I have disappeared!!  I will be by soon, really!!   Happy mixing... 6 days to go!!

  1. The red scarf is a nice splash of color.
I hate awkward conversations. They make me feel so sick. A few weeks ago, I had to tell a woman that she could not walk in 35 minutes late to my class and expect to be able to participate. She then proceeded to get in my face and challenge me on it. It made me very uncomfortable. I hope that the work stuff gets better now that the worst part is over.

  2. I am loving all your locations. Can't wait for mine!!

And I agree with Lori. The red scarf is fantastic...although the pink "rita" scarf you have...would look EVEn better!

Am I allowed to say that?

  3. Jodi Jane, I love your locations! So different from where I live! Your flats are adorable!

But aren't you so coldddd? It's quite nippy here, finally. I guess that's a good thing, the cold gets me more into the Christmas spirit! -There's a lot of decorating.. I feel like this year just flew! I already got gifts in the mail from people, when I haven't even started! Ahhhh-

    Lots of love-

  4. sometimes plain is a nice change of pace... although I think if anyone is going to do plain, it should be done in this color palette. it's so classic and chic!!

  5. How do you find all this time to scout out perfect locations like these? I mean, aren't you cold as well?

Been freezin' rain in Ottawa, alors, pas des photos these days! =(

  6. I think that you look classic, not plain. Khaki and red always look nice together.

  7. Trust me, in the end both you and your former coworker will be better off. Life is funny that way sometimes.

  8. You are always such a posing queen! You need to do a post telling people how to pose! I love that red scarf btw, red is a good color for you :0)

  9. Poor thing
I am so sorry you had to go though that, but hopefully you can see a bright light at the end of the tunnel.
    Hang in there!

  10. I love your scarf...and plain is good too...(although I think you will NEVER be plain:)

Dont worry....Ill never be tooo busy for you dollie:)

    Stop by and say Hello:)

  11. LOVE LOVE LOVE your remix of oufit, the red scarf really adds an unexpected twist :)

  12. Sorry for the rough times at work! It's been a weird work week for me, too. *Virtual hug* You still look great! Plain would be a paper sack. Ooh, now that's an idea. That counts as an accessory, right?

You and I are both J.J.!

  13. Awww Jodi I am so sorry about your work mess! I hate that for you SO much! I hope it gets better and fast! As for this being plain, it is a little on the classic side but I just don't think anything will ever look plain on you lady! You are way too spicy for your own darn good! And look at you and your red scarf!! Love ya girl!!
I hope your week gets better!!

  14. Very cute outfit! You are so good at accessorizing, I love the red scarf and the snakeskin shoes!

  15. Well I like it! I think the shoes and scarf make it happen!
