Frumpalooo

Okay I will not complain. I will not complain.  I got home and changed into my comfy stretchy pants and hoody right away. I am NOT going to my scheduled coached run workout. I just want to be home cuddled up with some heat and cats. That kind of day.  That kind of outfit. Frumpaloo.

Suit Up- Can you spell boring?

 Yawn.  Not only am I unbelievably bored with my lack of creative outfits I have gained weight and my pants and skirts are tight. Now, this is a somewhat usual occurrence each year since one can't expect to do hardcore ironman training for 8-9 months and then have a few months of off season with cross training exercise and NOT expect to have some kind of physical change.  When I say gained weight I mean 4-5 lbs and a change in muscle mass. IT FEELS DIFFERENT!  Anyway, thats a snapshot into my day today. Boring and fat. LOL

Brown Tweed Pants

I love/can't stand these brown tweed pants. I got talked into buying them from this expensive store that sells clothing from a Dutch designer.  I love these pants because they are great for tall people- they fit well and are nice and long.  I can't stand them because they have front pleats (supposed to be a no no for my body) and they wrinkle up and look like I just crawled out of sleeping in a car or under a bridge or something!! AND they were expensive so I feel that I SHOULD wear them more to get my money's worth.

As you may remember, I love crows.  I got this necklace from Santa for xmas and I love it.  Especially because I guess Santa thought I was a good enough girl this year to warrant giving me my first 'crow' jewelry.

Homemade Cowl

Happy New Year... Yes, I'm abit behind but better late than never right?  It's been a crazy few weeks with moving and all. My first day back at work I got up in the morning and realized I had no idea where all my work clothes were so was rummaging around in all my boxes trying to find some kind of outfit. OIY!  Still unpacking boxes and arranging the new place. ONE of the great things is this big wall in our office. I want to leave it a nice long bare wall so I can use it as a clean backdrop. Our old house was 780 square feet and not so great for finding indoor locations due to space constraints!!

I'll post a bunch of my upcoming DIY house projects soon. Many many ideas and lots to do which excites me!!  Anyway.  This is the cowl I made and I quite like it. I got 3 compliments on it today even. Last year I learned to knit and this is the 2nd thing I have ever made.  I have another one I made over xmas to show you soon as well.    Now that I have a better area to take indoor photos that might help me dress up abit more creatively so there are some worthy outfits to show on here!

Brown mini using mini camera

Hello!! I always feel more spunky wearing tights and short skirts. Much more my style than stoopid pants that never fit anyway!!  And not so great in the photography department these days. Long dark days, long busy days, training, working. When is a girl supposed to take outfit photos?   I love this skirt, its kindof thick shiny fabric. Hard to explain.  Abit stiff. Doesn't wrinkle. Likely made of toxic chemicals.

Album Cover?

I met a friend for coffee on Friday. Well, actually I met her because her mom and dad hired me to be the photographer at her grandmas 90th bday which is pretty cool. No pressure. Yeah Right!!

Anyway, it was fun to do the photoshoot and quite challenging as well.  I met with my friend for coffee and to give her the CD of photos.  She had a great outfit on and of course I had my camera so we headed down to a new graffti wall in town.  I liked this impromtu photo because it made me think of some old vinyl album cover.  Not sure what kind of music we would be playing though :)  Maybe I would be a jazz singer. Yeah. That sounds like me in my next life :)

Dream

Happy Thursday.  Well. I was wanting to show you the new pendant I got that I'm wearing and it says DREAM on it, with a little peacock. Hence the title of the blog post.
The photo didnt turn out so too bad. You have to use your imagination.  I am SOOO tired of living amongst boxes!! The big move is January 1 so I look forward to getting over to the new house and hope to have a better venue for indoor photos as well.  Now the new neighbours will see me lurking around looking for outdoor locations.  Nothing like starting off on a weird foot!!

Boring outfits have been a staple for the past months.  I just don't seem to have the same ooomph I had before.  I'd love a style overhaul in the new year.  For example I was wondering what I  would look like as a HIPSTER.  Would lumberjack and skinny jeans with heavy rimmed glasses suit me?  Maybe I will try it.. LOL  I just might!

Any styles that you would like to try that you haven't ????

Birthday Suit

Happy Tuesday. Well yes, its my birthday today!! I am officially OLD.. hah hah.. well, older.  I actually feel younger and younger each year. I feel more and more connected to my own self, comfortable in my own skin. Its awesome!  We went for a big breakfast at a great breakfast place this morning and now I am in comatose mode.. ohhh why did I eat soooo much :) and I loved it!!

I haven't yet created what my goals are for the upcoming year… currently under development and will keep you posted :0. I do have a nice new pair of leather boots on the list though-- I know that much:)  Some outfit and hair style overhaul is in the books as well.

Black Attack on a Snowy Day

Well it snowed in good ol Victoria today!  I had to ride my bike in the snow and cold and was sliding all over the place. I must admit it was kind of fun!! The power went out, we lost the internet.  Now I'm home eating chocolate chips (did I saw that OUT LOUD) and waiting for my man to finish making dinner.  He's making some strange Swedish dish of Basil Herrings.  In-ter-est-ing.  If I live to tell the tale I will report back tomorrow :).  Oh, and about the outfit. I know its boring but I felt warm and cozy!!

Green and Leopard

Its cold out and I have to ride my bike so I dress for riding comfort.  And look at the mess our house is with all the boxes everywhere?  Moving day is soon approaching and I'm getting more and more eager. I also happened to snap a cat ACTION shot by accident. She is moving so fast her head is blurred.  Luckily the other one is slow so I can use her nice white fur as a background. She in actual fact DID used to be a cat model when she was young.  She was kindof a big deal. Now she's retired and abit overweight and living a simple life with us.

Gotta run, the chicken is burning in the frying pan :)
